Matt Feddermann
Chicago, IL
For years, Matt Feddermann has worked in a "behind the scenes" role, booking, promoting, producing and writing music for other artists, making very few public performance appearances. During the summer of 2010, Feddermann performed his original songs in front of an audience at a neighborhood farmer's market. The response was overwhelming enough to bring Matt back into performing. Taking his early rock influences and melding them with acoustic guitar based music, he has created a sound that is reminiscent of early Tom Petty, The Beates, Rhett Miller & Michael Penn. His music is melodic, his sound is accessible & his words are lyrical observations of the world around him.
Over the years, Feddermann has performed at venues like House Of Blues, Metro, Double Door and at festivals such as Taste Of Chicago, Rock Around The Block, Sheffield Garden Walk and Highwood Pumpkin Festival (home of the Guinness World Record for the most lit jack-o-lanterns). During that time, he was seen on WGN TV, NBC Chicago, the Rosie O'Donnell Show and heard on WXRT, WYKT, WRLR & WLUW locally.
Feddermann's latest release, "Sometimes Wrong..." features drummer Gerald Dowd (Robbie Fulks, Justin Roberts) & guitarist Danny Shaffer (Michael McDermott, Kevin Lee, Shiny).
Most recently, Matt Feddermann was featured in a HGTV television special called "Pumpkin Wars" with Property Brother Jonathan Scott. The show was filmed during the 2012 Highwood Pumpkin Festival in which Matt Feddermann headlined in front of over 10,000 people.
Matt Feddermann is trying to reacquaint listeners with songs that have meaning and music that can be emotional and raw. His music and performances are inspiring new music lovers, one ear at a time...
