Matt Fenner has developed his professional path by working closely with companies during critical stages of growth and transition. Across more than 30 years, his work has involved acquiring businesses, improving financial structures, guiding operational progress, and completing exits at appropriate times. His approach is rooted in steady involvement, in which outcomes are shaped by consistent attention to both financial detail and business execution.

Matt began by building a strong base in accounting and finance. He earned an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Accounting from the University of North Florida. His early experience in a CPA firm environment helped him understand the importance of accuracy and discipline in financial reporting. As he moved into private enterprise, he applied that knowledge in settings where financial decisions had immediate consequences. This transition helped him recognize that improving performance requires more than reviewing data; it requires understanding how the business functions day to day.

Fenner continued to expand his experience by working in roles that required both analytical thinking and practical decision-making. He focused on identifying performance gaps and addressing them through structured changes. His work often involved improving processes, aligning financial goals with operational efforts, and supporting steady growth. Over time, he developed a consistent method for approaching business challenges across different industries.

Matt was involved in the growth and eventual sale of a large, privately owned alarm security company in the United States. His role included both financial oversight and operational support as the company expanded. After this, he joined Republic Industries as part of its M&A team, contributing to acquisition efforts within a company generating $10 billion in annual revenue. This experience provided insight into large-scale transactions and reinforced the value of disciplined deal execution.

Matt Fenner of Jacksonville later served as CFO and startup equity partner for Indian Motorcycles Florida, LLC. In that position, he managed financial operations across several retail locations, generating more than $50 million in annual revenue. His work supported the development of a structured retail network during a period when the brand was being reestablished. His focus remained on maintaining financial consistency while supporting business growth.

Matt also held a senior finance role at Convergys Corporation, where he co-led financial operations for a business unit with 17,000 employees and $800 million in annual revenue. During his time there, he helped improve margins by $22 million, reduce billing errors by over $11 million, consolidate 30 systems into three, and support contract negotiations that generated more than $50 million in new revenue. These efforts were directed at improving efficiency and strengthening the organization’s core operations.
