Matt Fenner is a finance and operations executive with more than 30 years of experience helping businesses grow, navigate complexity, and create lasting value.
He currently serves as COO of Caplin Ventures, a Jacksonville-based investment firm he helped launch in 2019. Today, Caplin's portfolio includes 10 operating companies and more than 20 passive investments across healthcare staffing, technology, engineering, dentistry, and professional sports, collectively employing over 1,000 people.
His career has spanned the alarm security industry (Scott Alarm, Republic Industries under H. Wayne Huizenga), the CFO seat at Indian Motorcycles Florida, and a senior financial leadership role at Convergys Corporation.
Matt holds an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Accounting from the University of North Florida, with a career-long focus on building businesses that work for their people, their customers, and their investors.
