Matt Garvin grew up amongst people who had given their lives for the sake of the Gospel as part of the Christian Mission organisation, Fusion.

After completing a broadcast journalism cadetship in the Australian outback city of Broken Hill, Matt joined Fusion himself and worked with the organisation for 21 years.

In his time with Fusion, Matt led teams in the Australian states of Tasmania and Victoria and served as a teacher and trainer, as well as part of the International leadership team.

Throughout this time Matt continued an active involvement in both on-air, and off-air aspects of radio broadcasting.

At the end of 2012, Matt moved with his family to Edmonton, Canada where he enjoyed a 12 month Sabbatical while studying his Masters Degree in Theological Studies.

In August 2013, Matt joined the Pastoral team at St. Albert Alliance church with the goal of bringing the learning of 21 years in Fusion into the setting of a church.

Matt is the Pastor for Community Engagement and Mission.

Matt is the author of two books: Faith Reflections and 6 Radical Decisions.

Matt is married to Leeanne and they have four children: Madeline, Joshua, Daniel and Sophie.
