Matt Gill is a music producer, audio engineer, musician and Grammy-nominated mix engineer. In over a decade of studio work Matt has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including recording or mixing for TV On The Radio, Metric, Aimee Mann, Gov’t Mule, F*ck Buttons, Meg Myers, Richard Barone, Rosanne Cash, Fischerspooner, Marcellus Hall, Shonali Bhowmik/Tigers and Monkeys, Sound of Urchin, Doctor Rosen Rosen and the Antibalas horns.
In addition to studio work, Matt is an accomplished live sound engineer with experience touring internationally as a Front of House Engineer and Tour Manager. Touring acts include Meg Myers (Lollapalooza, Governors Ball), Rone (Coachella), Klangkarussell, The Indecent (Warped Tour), Toe, and F*ck Buttons.
Matt also has extensive experience in sound for film and video, working on TV shows “Iron Chef America” and “30 Minute Meals” for Food Network, “The Shop” for MTV, “Good Morning America” for ABC, “American Masters” on PBS, specials for HBO Sports, as well as mixing music for “The Price is Right”, Major League Baseball, Showtime and “In Harm’s Way” on Revolt TV. He served as re-recording mixer for TV On The Radio’s film “Nine Types of Light”, which was nominated for the Best Long-Form Music Video at the 54th Grammy Awards.
Matt is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music.
