Matt Hammer

I currently work on a freelance basis for News 12 Traffic and Weather, News 12 Long Island, News 12 Hudson Valley/Westchester and News 12 Bronx/Brooklyn.

Prior employment includes being a fill-in weather anchor and a fill-in sports anchor for WLNY-TV. My employment at WLNY-TV began as an intern back in 2008. I left the station and joined News 12 in late 2011.

I studied broadcast journalism and some meteorology at Stony Brook University. A Certificate of Meteorology from Mississippi State will be completed over the next few years.
