Matthew Hyde

Matthew Hyde is a Sophomore in the Rawls College of Business and Honors College at Texas Tech University and he is pursuing a bachelors degree in Energy Commerce. He is from Mobile, Alabama where he lived his entire life. While working in the community relations department at Volunteers of America this past summer, he became very familar with the office work required to run a successful business. He was exposed to the organization involved and developed the skills of working with others that is only found in the office environment. This past summer he also worked at a children's day camp in the afternoons. Although this may not seem ideal it taught him about being patient with others and paying attention to small details. He plans on acquiring an internship at an energy corportation for the upcoming 2014 summer. The energy business is where he plans on working for the remainder of his career.
