For over twenty years, I have built a broad, deep career in information technology. I've worked in development, documentation, network and systems administration, support, systems architecture, and project management, among other areas.

I have been in management since fall of 2013, and I am enjoying and embracing its challenges. I am developing a focus on information systems that provide not merely utility and reliability, but also satisfaction. My focus is not on the particular sub-field of information technology that is engaged in a given activity, but in adding value to the organization.

Four years ago, I became affiliated with the Vicarious Theatre Company/Babes With Blades Theatre Company. I now serve as the President of their Board. BWBTC is a unique and important small theater creative force. Our mission is to place strong female characters front and center - something direly lacking in much of modern culture. To this end, we use stage combat as an integral part of our productions. That element, one that makes us quite distinct among women's theatre companies, adds a visceral element to the experience of our audiences, enhancing their experiences and making both the characters and the story all the more memorable.

In September 2015, I became a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. I'm pleased and humbled to be associated with such a storied and vibrant group, and I am dedicated to the goal of 21 Century Enlightenment.

I love experimenting with sound, and that means trying out a range of equipment. I am an endorsing artist for Source Audio musical equipment. I also love Thorn Custom Guitars, Amptweaker effects, and Blackstar and Yamaha guitar amplifiers.
