My passion is playing golf. I don’t know what it is about golf that makes me keep coming back to the golf course. It is such a challenging and frustrating game, yet I can still find it fun and relaxing at times. I feel at peace when it’s just me and my club getting ready to hit the ball, hopefully far and straight. There are times when I just want to quit and just want to give it up forever when I am having a bad day. However, I just try to remember what my grandfather always used to tell me about how “no player, not even the professionals can have a perfect shot every time. A mistake is only bad if you do not learn from it. Try to figure out why it was not a good shot and try to fix it.”
This could be said about all aspects of life. Everybody makes mistakes, but if you learn from them and prevent them from happening again, then your bad experiences may have actually been worth it. Golf is such a challenging game, where you have to always get yourself out of the rough and onto the dance floor (green). However, at the end of the day I can say that I truly love playing golf. Everybody has rough times in life, but if you can get through the bad times and overcome them, it makes you a better and stronger person. It did for me.
