MATTHEW P. DAMES

Matthew is a media professional who has operated Civilization Media for four years, under his direction the company has worked across the United States and Europe. He has produced promotional and marketing videos, and has assisted in the production of up to hour-long television programs. Prior to starting Civilization Media he worked in Philadelphia on feature length motion pictures for International Artist Studios, and began his media career working as personal assistant to Jack LaLanne. He specializes in historic set/3D consulting, underwater cinematography, and international production logistics.

Civilization Media has full production gear including: Canon 5D mark ii, Aquatica Underwater Housing for 5D, Sennheiser wireless lavalier and shotgun microphones, Manfrotto 503 tripod, lighting kit, Final Cut Pro Studio, MacBook Pro w/firewire HDD.

His education includes, film production and theory, as well as having a Masters of the Science in Maritime Archaeology. He has previously worked as an Archaeologist and a Forensic Anthropologist with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the City of New York after the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks.

He is certified with the Professional Association of Dive Instructors as a Dive Master and is certified in first aid. He is seeking any challenging and interesting opportunities in media production worldwide.
