My partner and I recently started a permaculture project on 11.5 acres of land near Totnes and I am studying for the Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design. I earn a living through teaching mathematics with the Open University and doing software consultancy with Fairflow Systems Design. My background is in pure maths and I specialised in logic and the theory of computation. I studied and taught the foundations of computing for 14 years at Edinburgh and Sheffield Universities.
