Matthew Jones
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Trained in one of Wall Street's leading leveraged finance groups, I now work for Mongolia's first investment bank. Since 2012, I have worked primarily on financing natural resources exploration programs and project finance. I've also done projects in other sectors, ranging from raising development bank financing for a cashmere company's acquisition of camel wool to closing a private equity investment in one of Mongolia's largest consumer finance companies. I'm an active member of the local business council and sometimes appear in local and international media coverage. In the near future, I am looking to earn an MBA and enter the energy finance field.
My hobbies include socializing with friends and business associates. Together we like to go trekking in the countryside. Many weekends I host apartment dinner parties, at which my guests have at their disposal a menu including over 24 homemade entrées and 13 cocktails. I also enjoy reading sci-fi novels and non-fiction.
