The quote above is from Sister Mary Lou Kownacki and was Mr. Roger's favorite quote. He carried it in his pocket on a laminated card.
We all have a story. Some are long, some are short. Some have twists and turns that have slung the teller around like a wooden roller coaster. Some are straight and narrow like a West Texas, country road. Some are exciting and some are mundane. But they are all original and all our very own.
I want to hear the stories that are out there. I want to learn them and find the places in them that people hide, those are often the gems that we can't see for ourselves.
I hope to introduce people to new and old stories of redemption, grace, borkeness, sorrow, and joy. And I hope to find the connections that interweave all our stories together.
I want to hear your story. I want to her the story about how you walked away. I want to hear the story about how you woke up. I want to hear the story about how you're searching for something and you don't know what. And I want to help you tell your story.
Part of my story is that I'm a disciple, dad, husband, triathlete-in-training, hopeful changer, faithful questioner, story-seeker, and novice storyteller. I've been hurt and pushed away. I've been held close and allowed to cry and and yell and scream. I've been allowed to fail and fall and then found a hand to help me back up.
I get to create and live my story with an amazing wife, son, and daughter in West Texas.
