Matt Astrachan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin. Since then, Mr. Astrachan’s impressive vitae includes working with tenants and owners in nearly every industry as acting sales or leasing agent for public and private organizations. In his constant attempt to stay involved in the process of commencement to completion of a project, Matthew Astrachan has also worked with developers and contractors to market prospective multifamily buildings during construction.
Currently serving as the Vice Chairman of JLL’s New York office, Matthew Astrachan is involved in commercial real estate sales activities in the New York Region and across the U.S. Mr. Astrachan has procured real estate transactions well above market value using adroit industry insights and marketing plans that have helped optimize the potential for profitability.
Prior to joining JLL in 2011, he was an executive vice president at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., where he was consistently part of the firm’s elite group of Top 100 real estate professionals for 15 years. Before working for Cushman & Wakefield, he was a managing director at The Galbreath Company. Through his efforts, Mr. Astrachan has been recognized through his years of dedicated service with multiple awards, and has ranked among the Cushman & Wakefield’s Top 10 producers in 2001, 2008 and 2009.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Matthew Astrachan is heavily involved in philanthropic foundations and initiatives dedicated to aiding people in need, including Sanctuary for Families, which aids young victims of violence; The Jeffrey Model Foundation, which helps raise awareness and fights immunodeficiency diseases; and The Intrepid Foundation, a not-for-profit that helps travelers give back to the countries they visit.
Matthew Astrachan currently resides in Manhattan.
