I have been playing hockey since I was 5 years old. As a small child my father took me to an Atlanta Thrashers game and I instantly fell in love with the game of hockey. I came home and decided I wanted to learn how to skate. A year later I was by far the worst player on my team, but I was doing what I loved so it didn't bother me. I dedicated myself to improving and after countless hours of practice and a few broken garage windows, my game improved. By the age of 14 I had been selected to represent the southeast district at the USA Hockey National Team camp. That year my team also represented the southeast district at the USA Hockey National Tournament, held in Anchorage, Alaska. Fast forward to the spring semester of my senior year and I was faced with a very difficult choice, I could either try to walk on at my dream school of Michigan or attend the University of Georgia and play on their club hockey team. Obviously, based on the picture included on this page, I chose the latter. I could not be happier with my decision I love every aspect of this school and I am still able to play competitive hockey in front of a passionate fanbase. I strongly recommend you, my fellow students, to come to an Ice Dawgs game if you have not yet experienced one and if you have been, you know how much fun the games are.
