Matthew Brodsky is a versatile and award-winning editorial and business communications professional. He is independent and a team player, a get-er-done man comfortable talking with everyone from corporate executives and private equity tycoons to student-entrepreneurs and 80-year-old men who busk on street corners singing Sinatra. He's written on and researched topics ranging from enterprise risk management to business continuity, sports to leadership, wine-making to healthcare, big data to small startups, social entrepreneurship to finance.
He currently serves as Editor of Wharton Magazine. Technically the business school's alumni magazine, the publication has evolved into a multiplatform content strategy that advances the School's branding, marketing, development and community engagement aims. The platforms include: the quarterly, 80-page, 94,000-print count magazine; the Wharton Blog Network featuring more than 100 regular contributors; social media; and (soon to be) apps and digital editions.
Brodsky oversees daily operations for all --- from content planning and magazine layout to advertising and mailing, to social media posting and scheduling, and everything in between. He handles vendor relationships and hires freelance writers, photographers, videographers and illustrators. He collaborates across the Wharton community, from the Dean's staff to alumni relations, from alumni to professors. He edits all articles, blogs and videos, and writes as much as he can.
To remain on the leading edge of corporate content marketing, p.r. and business communications, Brodsky maintains a steady stream of freelance clients. He has produced a wide range of products aimed at various audiences: press releases, SEO Web copy, ghost-written articles, sales letters and proposals. Recent projects include a white paper for a global consultancy, a sponsored report for a communications firm, and content marketing blogs for a top insurance brokerage.
