I obtained my degree from the School of Commerce at DePaul University in Business Sports Management and ended my academic career on a high note achieving over a 3.0 GPA. I also participated in club lacrosse and found it was a good way to maintain a healthy lifestyle, socialize, and network while in school. Shortly after I graduated, I was given the opportunity to participate in what I felt was a once in a lifetime internship opportunity with the PGA. I acted as a concierge for the Ryder Cup event held at the Medinah Country Club. Although it was a historic defeat, it was an experience that has helped me gain professional experience and something I will never forget. While working as a concierge at the Ryder Cup, I was able to showcase my strong leadership and interpersonal skills. I interacted with over 200 people on a daily basis and learned to take control in pressure situations.
Since then, I have helped operate as a Brand Ambassador for Four Corners Tavern Group which owns and manages eight bars located on the north side of the of downtown Chicago. I have also been fortunate enough to work for a non-profit organization, Options for College Success, which has been a rewarding opportunity. Both of these experiences have allowed me to adapt and excel in different business environments.
My past and current work experience has taught me how to take initiative, allocate high business results within a reasonable amount of time, and become adept at operating with the proper mix of authority, diplomacy, and tact. As a young professional and college graduate, I’ve learned the value of hard work and how to work collaboratively with others.
