Matthew (Matt) Cameron is a Toronto lawyer with several years of experience in the field. Since 2018, Matthew Cameron has worked with the Toronto- and Florida-based Akumin, serving as general counsel and senior vice president.
At the diagnostic imaging firm, he provides legal advice to the board of directors, alongside senior staff. During this time, he has been involved in multiple expansions, including more than 18 acquisitions. With these, he guided the firm through private equity and debt financing agreements.
Matthew Cameron also led the company's initial public offerings on the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. Outside his work with Akumin, he enjoys staying in shape by cycling and lifting weights. He is also an avid hiker and skier.
Before his first role as a lawyer, Matt Cameron attended Saint Mary's University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in computer science and business administration. He also has an LLB and an LLL, which he earned at Dalhousie University and the University of Ottawa, respectively.
