Hey, I’m Matthew. I’m an Author living in Margate, Kent (in the UK).

I am a fan of reading, writing, and politics. My nerdier interests include photography, electronics, and web development.

I am the lead developer and founder of Author Buzz UK, Open Mentions, and isBrill.com.

In 2026, I released the code for Matt's Web Way as an open source project. Web Way is an ultralight system that turns Markdown text files into a fully qualified website.

I am the current chair and founder of the writers’ charity Thanet Creative.

I have been running writer’s workshops and working in social media for over fifteen years. I remember when MySpace was a good source of free traffic and Facebook was invite only. Yeah, I'm kinda old.

Despite dyslexia, dyspraxia and a host of physical health problems, I enjoy writing and I truly feel that if I can get reasonably good at it then anyone can.
