Matthew Fife has been a reader and writer (if we choose to use the term loosely) all his life. From heartwarming tales of rabbits to grittier tales of bloody revenge to the occasional haiku about a particularly good sandwich, he has churned out more material than the slightly below average person. He has even managed to get published in a small literary magazine (though the fact that he was Editor-in-Chief at the time does throw the achievement into some doubt).

But do his achievements stop there? Heavens, no! He began his meteoric rise to average with a perfect attendance award in high school (all four years!). Since then he has added Employee of the Month at a Target in Virginia, People's Choice at a small chili cook-off in Wisconsin, and received the award for Best Experimental Adaptation out of a field of approximately three for his butchery of Shakespeare's Hamlet and other crimes against traditionalism during his final semester at Brigham Young University.

He currently wears far too much flannel with his wife in Madison, WI where he disappoints elementary and middle school teachers that had such high hopes for him by teaching adults how to use electronic medical records software. He exceeds his own expectations by simply being employed and married.
