Matthew Gentile

Matthew Gentile was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He began making films and acting in plays when he was thirteen. He graduated from Connecticut College in 2012, with a double major in Film Studies and English with a certificate in Computer Animation from the Ammerman Center for Arts & Technology.

During his time in college, Matthew studied abroad at the FAMU Film School in Prague, where he made an acclaimed short film, Cat in the Rain, based on the short story of the same name by Ernest Hemingway.

His senior integrated project, Heart to Heart, a computer animated and live action film, won him the Smalley/Zaher Award for "successfully incorporating the highest degree of creativity, innovation, aesthetic, and technological understanding and apperciation."

Matthew works at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment and lives in New York.
