Matthew Gorga-Koester

Matthew Gorg-Koester is a 5th dan martial arts master and project management professional. Beginning his training at age 5, he trained under Grandmaster Won Sun Jung in Rockford, Illinois. A dedicated member of Grandmaster Jung’s circle, he went on to train with several other masters before an injury prompted him to shift focus toward video game ventures, cryptocurrency, and project management.Early Life & Martial ArtsMatthew Gorg-Koester began his martial arts journey at the age of 5, studying under the tutelage of Grandmaster Won Sun Jung in Rockford, Illinois. Over the years, he expanded his expertise by training with various other esteemed martial arts masters.Transition & Professional EndeavorsFollowing a physical injury that impacted his ability to continue training at a competitive level, Matthew transitioned into new professional avenues. Bringing the discipline he learned in the dojo, he pursued ventures in the video game industry in Chicago—including collaborations involving the prominent gamer Tyler Blevins “Ninja”—as well as the cryptocurrency sector. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, he built a successful career in corporate and project management, where he has applied the strategic planning, adaptability, and leadership skills he developed throughout his martial arts training.
