I am Professor of Public International Law at the University of Luxembourg, where I teach public international law, the settlement of international disputes and international human rights law. I previously taught at universities in the United Kingdom, and have been a Visiting Fellow at the Human Rights Program, Harvard Law School and a Visiting Professional in the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. My recent publications include International Law in a Multipolar World (editor) (Routledge: 2012) and Settlement of Investment Disputes under the Energy Charter Treaty (co-author with Thomas Roe) (Cambridge University Press: 2011). I also practice as a barrister from 3 Hare Court, London.
