Matthew Hull

New York City

Mathew Hull is from Smithtown, New York. After being a three sport athlete in high school, Hull went onto Harvard where he was a member of the Crimson lacrosse team. Matt has always had a passion for sports. If he's not playing lacrosse, basketball, or soccer, he's most likely watching. Hull enjoys watching the New York Jets and New York Knicks play. He enjoys watching point guard Chris Paul play because of how he plays the position with an admiration for how he distributes the ball to his teammates. Matt loves to share about all things New York Jets and New York Knicks.

Matthew Hull currently lives and works in New York City as a Senior Associate with the closed private equity fund Iroquois Capital Opportunity Fund, working with management teams of portfolio companies to enhance their value. He has also continued playing lacrosse recently with the Israeli National Lacrosse Team. The teams recently faced the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse. The New York Lizards have Rob Pannell, a close friend of Matthew's. In fact, Matthew Hull has recently been playing with the Israeli lacrosse team who faced Rob Pannell and the New York Lizards. Check out the story here.

Matthew has played lacrosse for as long as Ihe can remember. His dad grew up on LongIsland which may have been one of three places in the country that even knew what lacrosse was at the time. He was a very talented football player in high school so his friends asked if he would be open to playing on the lacrosse team: both are contact sports and, since lacrosse was not in football season, it was a natural compliment for many football players on Long Island. My dad ended up playing lacrosse in college and, realistically, this is the main reason Matthew even started playing the sport. When Matthew was very little some of his first memories were having a catch with small plastic lacrosse sticks, “fiddle sticks” as they are affectionately called with my dad.

Matthew Hull enjoys trying various new restaurants from around New York City. Some of his favorites include Sushi of Gari, Hundred Acres, and Bobby Van's Midtown.
