Matthew Jury

I’m Matthew, I work as a freelance camera operator and director as well as studying Television Production at Southampton Solent University. I have had many opportunities as part of my course as well as outside of it, these have varied from festivals to debates, all of which I have enjoyed.

I am passionate about live production whether that be live to screens on site or live streaming to an online audience and therefore have focused on working on these projects. I worked on a debate for the BBC South Digital Team where as director I was given full creative control as they had never broadcast a debate live to Facebook before. Just knowing that what you are creating is going out live and can’t be changed has a feeling about it, a thrill which you don’t get with other types of production.
