I am a Boston kid: grew up between Revere and Everett, went to Dom Savio High School and Boston University, and once saw Larry Legend live on the parquet in the old Garden. From behind a pole.

I am a wicked bad sinner, ransomed by the love of the Father, the work of the Son, and the power of the Spirit

Down at the bottom of my life - the ground that everything else is anchored to - is the grace of God in Christ. That's it. And that's enough.

Grace and I have been married since 1996 and we have four quickly-growing-up sons and daughters who you'd love.

I don't drink coffee, brew craft beer, own skinny jeans, or know what gluten is. Sorry.

I do dig my family, read a ton, and play a little pickup, on occasion, here and there.

15 years ago an unexpected call to church planting interrupted the other plans I was laying down for my life. It was the best interruption ever. No one has benefited more than me, hands down, from Jesus bringing Seven Mile Road into existence. I serve the life and mission of our Melrose congregation. My big dream is to see hundreds of men, women, and children who are living just north of Boston swept into the family of God through the missional work of our churches.
