The term Kaizen (改善?), Most often used when referring to the Post World War II time of revitalization experienced in Japan. It is acutally Japanese for "improvement" or "change for the best", refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement in business management. When used in the business sense kaizen refers to activities that continually improve all functions, and involves all employees from the CEO to the assembly line workers. It also applies to processes, such as purchasing and logistics, that cross organizational boundaries into the supply chain.[3] By improving standardized activities and processes, kaizen aims to raise all standards. Kaizen was first implemented in several Japanese businesses after the Second World War, influenced in part by American business and quality management teachers who visited the country. It has since spread throughout the world[4] and is now being implemented in environments outside of business and productivity.

Mark was very proud of this as he was only 22 yrs old. Matt would mow the lawn, rake etc.. and Mark would always give him busy work whenever he could. Matt can remember Mark explaining offsetting the mortgage with rent etc.. and the Idea just stuck 12 Years later in 1999 Matt bought his first Owner Occupied Multi-Family dwelling which he completely renovated and still owns and manages to this day.
