An accomplished academic administrator, Dr. Matthew Murphy has served as superintendent of the Ramsey Public School District in Ramsey, New Jersey, for nearly five years. Before taking on that role, he was superintendent of River Vale Public Schools in River Vale, New Jersey. Dr. Matthew Murphy also has held administrative roles in various other school districts around the state over his nearly two-decade-long career. He also has taught since 1999 as an adjunct professor at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey.

In addition to his experience, Dr. Matthew Murphy leverages a vast academic background in his position, having earned a doctor of philosophy from Fordham University with a concentration in administration and leadership. Apart from his everyday work, he remains active in his profession through membership in organizations such as the New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. In his leisure time, Dr. Murphy exercises regularly, and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.
