Matthew Njenga
Student in London
Greetings, I’m Matthew. I’m a student living in London. I am a fan of languages, sports, and travel. I’m also interested in economics. You can view my portfolio with a click on the button above.
On the 22nd of November 2019, I was awarded the Parent's Asssociation Prize for French. This was a result of achievement in French language learning. Learning languages remains one of my personal interests, and is something which has enabled me to have a broader view of different cultures. After receiving this award, I pursued an A Level in French, which has resulted in me having an intermediate level of french speaking, reading and writing.
Sports is also one of my interests. This is shown through my participation in the 1st team for hockey in my secondary school. This has enabled me to build teamwork and communication skills. Through playing hockey, I also had the opportunity to compete against others of varying skill levels, which taught me a lot about competition and personal improvement.
Personally, I would say that my biggest interest is global development. This is the reason why I chose to complete an Extended Project, where I discussed the relationship between policy and economic growth in China.
