Matthew Talcott DDS

Owner and operating dentist of Northville Family Dentistry, his own general dentistry practice in Northville, Michigan, Matthew Talcott, DDS offers a wide variety of dental services in a modern, comfortable setting. Along with a staff of ten health care professionals, Dr. Talcott offers cleanings, root canal therapy, teeth whitening, wisdom tooth extraction, dental implants, and temporary appliances, and also accepts a number of popular health insurance plans.

Dr. Talcott studied biology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor as an undergraduate and remained there, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the School of Dentistry in 1996. He was then awarded an externship position to study with the University of Michigan Hospitals Department of Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery before he joined Gaylord Family Dentistry for two years, learning the aspects of practicing oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Dr. Talcott then joined the staff of Family Dental Group in Flint, Michigan, before going on to own and operate Northville Family Dentistry.

Throughout his career, Dr. Matthew Talcott has been recognized for outstanding professional achievements, most recently as one of the Consumer's Research Council of America's "Top Dentists" in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Also in 2012, he was recognized by his peers as a "Top Dentist" in Detroit Hour Magazine. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Oakland County Dental Society, and the International Association of Orthodontics.

A father of two young girls, Dr. Talcott and his family spend free time participating in Girl Scouts of America and are involved in their local church. Dr. Talcott enjoys staying active, playing basketball and softball, and is also a University of Michigan football season ticket holder.
