Matthew Talley
Coppell, Texas, USA
I am an enthusiastic follower of Christ, husband of fourteen years to a brilliant, beautiful wife and a loving father of seven years to my internationally adopted daughter from Thailand.
I have a contagious passion to inspire all youth to Live the Mission that God has laid out for their lives! To Live the Mission means relentlessly declaring God’s glory each day to a lost and hurting world. God has selected students to advance His kingdom to their families, their schools, their neighborhoods and their world—not because He has to, but because He wants to give them a role in shining his light into the darkest corners of the globe.
My thirteen years of expertise Living the Mission in my own life includes serving as a Pastor of Youth and Young Adults to a church of 1,000+ weekly attendance, Ministry Planner and Organizer to an International School of 1,000+ students, a popular and engaging full-time teacher of Biblical Studies to secondary students and a trailblazing Cross-Cultural Minister to Innercity American Youth for over five years.
My passion for inspiring youth to Live the Mission has taken me around the globe. My amazing wife, Angelina, and I ventured to post-Tsunami Thailand, where I taught and lived the Good News for almost five years in Bangkok to youth and young adults immersed in Buddhism. Afterwards, God led us to Communist China, where I was asked to become the Senior Pastor of a new church plant located in Hong Kong. By the Grace of God, the church plant flourished, greatly increasing in number, breadth and maturity, while also opening dangerous, but fruitful windows to train and equip the tortured Underground Church surrounding mainland Dalian, China.
In Living the Mission in my own life, I have sought after much Biblical Scholarship, pursuing over nine full-time years of university education in Christian Theology, Leadership and Public Speaking. Affirming biblical inerrancy, I have studied at some of America's finest institutions, including Southeastern Baptist Theological, Duke University and Emory University. I continue to pursue my Doctoral Degree with Liberty University, as my schedule allows.
