Matthieu Baril
London, United Kingdom
Matthieu is passionate about helping procurement practitioners add value to their organisation through online collaboration tools and procurement transformations. He has devoted the past several years to this vision through several startup businesses that provide advisory and software services to the procurement profession. Matthieu is particularly interested in helping to uncover the necessary conditions for successful buyer-supplier collaboration.
As a big believer in the power of interdisciplinary ways of reasoning towards problem solving, Matthieu has been involved in the organisation of the TEDxWarwick conferences since 2010. Matthieu led the team that would organise TEDxWarwick 2011, which was featured on TED’s homepage, a first for a university-organised TEDx event. Matthieu was awarded the Warwick Advantage Gold Award for his achievements in this context. He also advises the organising teams of TEDxLSE and TEDxOxford.
Matthieu is also interested in researching and experimenting with human movement and the ways in which we can integrate movement in our 21st-century lives to maintain and develop both movement quality and functional capacity. He holds the ANSI-accredited CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (CF-L1), obtained with full marks (45/45).
Matthieu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick, and has recently completed a Master in Management Degree at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business.
