Matti Halonen

Mechanical Engineer, Product developer, and Project Engineer in Göteborg, Sverige

My last couple of years has been within development of products for the Norwegian offshore industry – my primary title was technical project engineer, being equipment responsible for five simultaneous projects. It has been a challenging and very developing period at work and personal life, where the key words has been; great responsibility, deadlines, product development, resource allocation, interdisciplinary coordination, customer and supplier contact and personal development.

After Norway I decided that it was time to experience what the other side of the planet has to offer. Which resulted in me spending 2016 in Australia. In the beginning of 2017 I will move back to my hometown Gothenburg in order to begin the next chapter in my life.

A few macro-level specialities are:
specialization within robust design, ergonomics and human factors, platform and modularization, development and administration of product life-cycles.

Projects I have been part of;
development of portable prospecting equipment, piezoelectric energy scavenging, a mapping of product-based services significance to industrial companies and delivery of cranes and winches within the offshore industry.
