Matthew graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Marketing in Illinois. After graduation he moved to California's Central Valley to join AmeriCorps*VISTA (the domestic PeaceCorps) where he was dedicated to a one-year National Service project to bridge the digital divide and develop free computer workshops for the public. Since then, Matthew has worked for the Stanislaus County Department of Employment and Training as a Career Counselor and as the AmeriCorps Coordinator for the Modesto-based nonprofit the Great Valley Center. For over 7 years Matthew has been a Software Instructional Trainer with Computer Tutor Business and Technical Institute, Connecting Stanislaus, and Goodwill Office Technology program. He currently is the Instructional Technology Trainer with Modesto City School District and has been teaching for over 10 years with the Modesto Junior College Community Education computer classes. Matthew enjoys serving the community through several local volunteer organizations and is excited to be able to share his knowledge of computers with all those who are interested.
