Matt McHugh

I grew up in suburban Pennsylvania, attended LaSalle University in Philadelphia, and after a few years as a Manhattanite, currently call New Jersey home. I've hiked the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. I've ridden the underground in London and a motor scooter in Athens. I've seen the sun come up in Key West and watched it set in La Jolla. I've got a job, a mortgage, a wife, two children, no living parents, and friends I see only a handful of times a year. I've worked in publishing and marketing for over 20 years. I've addressed thousands and e-mailed millions. I can convince almost anyone to agree with almost anything, though, more often than not, the cost of that is too great to be worthwhile. I can punch through a cinderblock and speak comfort to broken hearts, yet, more often than not, I feel weak and ineffectual. I have a website and blog I've dabbled with since 2002. I write fiction that has never been particularly successful, but has garnered respect in small quarters. My life's ambition is to die in my 70's with the house paid off.
