Matt McKeever

Matt McKeever is a musician and educator based in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is currently an Assistant Band Director in the Festus R-VI School District and was formerly the Director of Music at Bishop DuBourg High School. Matt graduated Summa cum laude from Webster University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental & Vocal Music Education and is currently working towards a Masters in Music Education at the University of Missouri-St Louis.
Matt is in-demand as a guest judge and clinician and has worked with students through the St. Louis Suburban Music Educators Association, Missouri East Central District, Saint Louis Metro District, and East Central College Jazz Festival. He has also been a guest presenter at the Missouri Bandmasters Association Summer Convention and Focus on Teaching and Technology Conference.
Matt performs on saxophone and clarinet and is a member of a number of Saint Louis-based music groups, including the Saint Louis Wind Symphony, the Gateway City Big Band, and Naked Rock Fight, a funk/jazz project where he composes original music for the group. In addition to these groups, Matt also performs frequently with such notable Saint Louis groups such as Tommy Halloran's Guerrilla Swing, Andy Coco's Rhythm Section Roadshow, and Big Chief.
