Matt was born in Wakefield in the Nineteen seventies.
Matt likes to illustrate.
Matt works with pen and ink and likes how these simple ingredients can communicate so much using dots and points to build up tone and definition.
He is inspired by print and graphic art, specifically the crispness and cleanliness these styles produce. He is interested in the relationship between these forms and the human creation and interaction. As a result he attempts to create print like work but with the human hand.
