Matt Voerman

Based out of Sydney, Australia – Matt Voerman is a 15 year veteran of the rich media/internet development industry.

During this time he has undertaken a number of senior technical and customer facing roles in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and the United States.

He is an internationally published author, having written, or contributed to, a number of books, whitepapers and articles on the Adobe Flash Platform.

Matt is an excellent communicator and internationally recognised public speaker. Having spoken at local, and international, industry events including Adobe MAX, Web on the Piste and WebDU.

As an industry expert, Matt has a strong ability to collaborate with teams and product groups to help define, and execute, predefined strategies. Whilst at the same time act as a product/project champion by evangelising requirements, and objectives, across both internal business units and externally to partners/clients.

A key component of Matt’s ongoing professional development involves the ability to stay at the leading edge of his profession. This includes the on-going research, and analysis, of new and upcoming rich media technologies, and how they impact the digital media ecosystem.

Matt is currently employed full-time as an Engagement Manager with cloud-based, based managed services provider Akamai Technologies. Akamai’s global application acceleration and media delivery services drive adoption, productivity, audience engagement, and revenue.
