Angela Sears . Interior Design

Interior Designer in Hawaii

For over 20 years, I have practiced design while living and working on Maui.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, with formal training in art and design, architectural principles, building systems, drafting, and visual communication. Years of hands-on experience have deepened my expertise across every facet of the profession, from product knowledge and construction detailing to the precise coordination required to execute a project successfully. Over time, I have also cultivated lasting relationships and developed extensive resources, including trusted contractors, skilled trades, workrooms, showrooms, vendors, and trade partners, providing access to exceptional craftsmanship, materials, and furnishings.

What sets me apart is the combination of artistic vision, technical understanding, and creative problem-solving that I bring to every project, along with a natural ability to listen carefully and understand my clients, their style, and the way they live. Creativity and practicality are equally important to me, and I strive to balance both in a way that feels thoughtful, personal, and highly considered. I’m also known for bringing ideas to a project that clients may not have initially considered. Whether through space planning, materials, custom furnishings, architectural details, or unexpected solutions, these ideas often elevate the overall design, add greater depth and functionality, and help create results that exceed expectations.

I am detail-oriented and continually refining my process to help projects run smoothly. Through clear communication, thoughtful planning, and the ability to visualize and present ideas through drawings, renderings, and presentations, I help bridge the gap between ideas and execution. With the right guidance and collaboration, what can often feel like a stressful process becomes an enjoyable and rewarding experience culminating in a thoughtfully planned, personal and beautifully executed home.

If you are considering a project on Maui, I would love the opportunity to help bring your vision to life.

Aloha,

Angela Sears, ASID
