Mauricio Patrón Rivera works with the text and its relationship with the community. His work travels through decolonial feminisms, necropolitics, human rights, and journalism, to dwell between outsiders' corporalities. The outputs of his work are short stories, essays, curatorial projects, academic research, and collaborative processes. He is a candidate for a Ph.D. in Creative Writing in Spanish at the University of Houston, holds a scholarship by Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporaneo, and was a 2020 nominee for the Pushcart Prize.
