Maura Maheu

I am a student at Ryerson University currently living in Toronto, studying Sport Media. I am currently employed as an Ambassador with the Toronto Blue Jays, where customer service skills and baseball knowledge are essential. Tasks include escorting important personnel to and from batting practice, as well as escorting patrons with accessibility needs. I am also currently employed as a Social Media and Client Branding Director at True Gravity Baseball; an agency targeted at recruit professional and amateur baseball players. My role with True Gravity requires me to make graphics and video content for our website, run our social media pages as well as some of our clients’ accounts, and assisting in licensing and patenting services. Other skills developed in school and past work environments include video and photo editing, event photography, documentary production, social media content producing, brand marketing, writing, show hosting, voice over and play by play analysis. I am fluent in Spanish and English, with proficient presenting skills. I have addressed crowds of up to two thousand people, with experience in speech writing and delivery. Upon graduation I hope to pursue a career in the sport media sector in public relations or media, ideally for a Major League or NCAA baseball team. My biggest passion in life is baseball, and as long as I can be submerged in the game I love for the rest of my life, I consider myself successful.
