Maurice Myrick

Maurice Myrick is an author, mentor and career coach from Jacksonville, Florida. He is pursuing a Master of Science in Family, Youth and Community Sciences at the University of Florida (UF) and holds a bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems from Florida A&M University (FAMU).

Maurice’s career life is made up of working as a Mentor/Academic Program Planner for My Purpose Matters, LLC and as founder of his Non-profit organization, Family Forever, INC.

Added to that he is now a published author with his book, Mmmm Lemonade: Positivity, Purpose & The Meaning of Life, which is about overcoming the challenges we face in life and making the most of any situation. It is available through Amazon.

Maurice is a father of two and in his free time he enjoys cooking, flying, Muay Thai kickboxing, snowboarding, riding motorcycles, playing golf and skydiving. He is an ultimate foodie and enjoys trying out a wide variety of cuisines that are different, exciting, and packed with flavor.

He also likes to devote his time to social impact issues that include family, youth, education, athletics and as a business mentor for aspiring entrepreneurs.

As far as the future is concerned Maurice is hoping to be accepted into a Ph.D. Program for Youth Development & Family Sciences. His favorite quote is “the world has flavor, go taste it…”and Maurice has certainly done that. With a 30-day backpacking trip through Europe, visiting 15 different countries in the process, and having road tripped across America and back twice, he is eager for new adventures whenever they may come.
