Since 2001, Mauricio Corredor has served as a bilingual teacher in the Denton Independent School District of Texas. He works closely with the children at Tomas Rive Elementary School and is dedicated to helping them become competent students and independent individuals. By offering activities that encourage intellectual, physical, and socio-emotional development, Mauricio Corredor works to help all members of his at-risk student body reach their full potential.

Mauricio Corredor draws on in-depth experience with a number of educational methods, including the Gomez and Gomez Dual Language Program. Using this approach, he helps students develop language skills as well as an appreciation of world cultures. He promotes this same end as a certified Practical Parent Educator, in which role he advocates for family involvement in the classroom and school.

Adept in use of the CHAMPs classroom management system as well, Mauricio Corredor maintains a consistent focus on strengthening students' abilities to navigate school and the outside world. He prepared for his career by training in psychology at Konrad Lorenz University and by earning a BS in applied behavioral analysis from the University of North Texas, as well as state certification as a bilingual generalist and special education teacher. In 2016, Mauricio Corredor added to his credentials by obtaining a master's degree in language and culture from Salamanca University in Spain.
