Brazilian visual artist, writer and illustrator of more than a hundred books by remarkable Brazilian writers such as Mário de Andrade, José Lins do Rego, Darcy Ribeiro, Monteiro Lobato, Daniel Munduruku, Bartolomeu Campos de Queirós, Edimilson de Almeida Pereira, Lázaro Ramos, Ferreira Gullar, Ana Maria Machado, Castro Alves, Rogério Andrade Barbosa, Lima Barreto, Ignácio de Loyola Brandão, Luís da Câmara Cascudo; and also great foreign authors such as Manuel Rui, Pepetela, Ikechukwu Sunday Nkeechi, Maria Teresa Andruetto, Eunice de Souza, Christian Léourier, Paula Salnot, Pierre-Marie Léourier Beaude, among many others.

My illustrations and books have been awarded, cataloged and exhibited in many countries like Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Korea, Slovakia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Uruguay, Vietnam, and others. I also do design and artwork for movies, docs and musical projects.

Graduated with a degree in Social Communication at Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM)/Universidade de São Paulo (USP); plus a period of studies, research and projects in Paris 2005/2006.

Monotypes, pyroengraving or scratchboard mixed with natural pigments, alternative and recycled materials, anilines and organic elements. My approach flirts with ethnic, ancestral, traditional and indigenous cultures as well the so-called spontaneous, popular or folk art. He currently serves as a Council Member at SIB – Society of Illustrators of Brazil and editorial coordinator of the Muiraquitãs Collection.
