Maximus Yaney

At the beginning of 2018, noted entrepreneur and aerospace company founder Maximus Yaney launched Kangaroo. As CEO, he hopes to direct the firm in its efforts to make the world a safer place for families everywhere by bringing affordable, advanced home security to countless individuals. In his past ventures, Yaney cofounded Google Ventures-backed Mohawk Group and was a founding member of SpinLaunch, which he funded from the sale of Titan Aerospace - one of his greatest accomplishments. First launched in his 388 square foot apartment, Titan was purchased by Google a few short years after its conception. However, the development of Titan was hardly without its fair share of challenges. In particular, Maximus slept in the hanger where he was building the company’s prototypes for a large part of his time running the company. When he is not running Kangaroo and thinking up new technology and aerospace business plans, Maximus Yaney likes to do extreme outdoor sports, model in Solidworks, read physics books, and stay up-to-date on asteroid mining, cold fusion energy, and nuclear propulsion projects. More than anything, he is a firm believer in “first-principles thinking” whereby people should bypass preconceived ideas and start brainstorming and developing ideas from scratch.
