Hello, I’m Maya Kelly. I’m a student living in Northville, Michigan. I am a fan of music, travel, and food. I’m also interested in sports, such as soccer and basketball. As of right now, I coach an AAU basketball team so I can help spread my knowledge of a sport that I grew to love.

Growing up with a mother that’s worked with children, it has inspired me to do something where I can help others. I strive to be a part of a career where I can have a positive impact on people’s lives.

I currently attend Wayne State University where I am working to obtain my degree in Social Work.

What led me on this path to getting my social work degree was my past experience working with foster children. When I lived in Virginia, my parents took classes to be eligible for fostering. We had numerous kids in our home and it felt so good knowing that we gave them a home for a short period of time. I want to be able to have that same impact when I begin my career.

Helping those in need is my calling. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me!
