Maya-Anaïs Yataghène

Journalist, Teacher, and Filmmaker in Paris, France

French, Algerian and Polish (yes, it happens) journalist & documentary filmmaker.

I specialize in OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) techniques and the prevention of fake news. As a member of the French Council for Journalistic Ethics and Mediation (CDJM), I also teach media ethics to young professionals.

Often acting as a one-woman band reporter, I write features and news pieces, produce/shoot TV stories and documentaries, and create multimedia projects for various media outlets.

Here is a list of topics I am keen on, in no particular order: politics, economy, energy, media ethics, OSINT and cybersecurity, religion, science, technology, drama, Marseille’s soccer team, animal rights, German industrial metal bands, counter-terrorism, wine, philosophy, foreign and regional languages (notably in the 36 countries I’ve visited so far).

My work has appeared on: BBC World News, TIME, Bloomberg TV, France 24, TF1, BFMTV, AJ+ (Al Jazeera), CTV News, Slate, Huffington Post, France 2, France 5, ARTE, C8, Radio France, Foodable Network, Fusion, M6, RTL, Streetpress, Večernji List...
