I am currently a high school English teacher, in my third year teaching full-time and my seventh working in Oakland public schools.

In May 2017, I earned my B.A. from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) with high honors in English literature and a certificate in critical theory. You can read my older academic work here. I presented my senior thesis at the Critical Mixed Race Studies conference in March 2018, and have been expanding on this topic with personal research and reading in the last few years.
