I am Mayibongwe Ngwenya. I was born on the 28th of October 1999. I obtained my primary knowledge at Delft South primary and secondary Thandokhulu secondaryin the Western Cape Cape Town. I matriculated and ventured off to the university of Johannesburg in 2020 to study a Bachelor's degree in Education.

I am currently a youth member at the South African institute of International affairs.
Serving as a Youth Policy Committee member under working group of Education, Climate change and Gender.

Most of my life I have strived for change in my local community from the tender age of 14. My endeavors have been widely appreciated, allowing me to serve on the Junior City Councilor of Cape Town in 2015-2017. During my term, I addressed and proposed solutions to key issues, such as poverty, pollution, gang related crime and lack of adequate housing under Ndifuna Ukwazi and The Housing Assembly.

I particularly champion SDG-4, the fight for quality and equitable education. I hold as member in an NGO EQUAL EDUCATION, a student movement striving for equity in the education system. Recently, I represented an Equal Education NGO, in the call for the release of Khaya Cekeshe. My efforts were acknowledged by the media, where I obtained the front cover as a demonstrator on ENCA.
