May Jean Cosplay

Hello! My name is Meaghan, aka May Jean Cosplay. I'm a Korean-American cosplayer from Washington State. I am a cardiovascular specialized Registered Nurse (MSN, RN) and a mixed-media artist/costume maker. I made my first costume back in 2005 but have been challenging myself with more complex projects for over a decade. My work is inspired by video games, anime, TV/film, pop culture, and historical fashion.

Most of my craftsmanship experience has been focused on armor fabrication, sewing, and painting, but I've incorporated many skill sets into my projects: EVA foam, thermoplastics, embroidery, fiber arts, electronics (LEDs and animatronics), mold-making and casting, 3D modeling and printing, leathercraft, metalwork, and more. I consider myself a generalist crafter and love to dive into new learning experiences whenever possible.

Subsequently, I have become an experienced Master-level craftsmanship and performance competitor.
