Mayowa Sefiu OGUNTADE
Dentist, HR Enthusiast, and Capacity Builder in Nigeria
Dr. Oguntade Mayowa Sefiu is a dentist, HR professional, non-profit founder, capacity builder, non-communicable disease advocate, and youth developer.
He presently serves as an administrator in the public health sector, healthcare manager, and oral health care service provider. He volunteers with the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency, Nigeria, to ensure that all residents of Oyo State, Nigeria, have access to universal oral health care coverage at an affordable price.
He worked as a resident doctor at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital Complex, Ondo State, Nigeria.
He organized the first cohort of a career summit under his nonprofit, where over 150 African youths' capacity for job and international opportunities was improved. due to the marginalization of African youths in public sector governance and political offices. He has served on the Pakati Project under the African Leadership Institute, which is a project to ensure African youths are involved in public sector governance and political offices.
He is a member of the board and director of HR for the SmileBuilders Initiative, which is a nonprofit organization for non-communicable disease advocacy and prevention.
He has published a book on Amazon and won many awards, like the 2018 Ashoka Changemaker Scholar and the 2020 South West Nigeria Community Impact Award, the 2019 African Changemaker Fellowship, the 2020 Active Citizens Fellow, and the 2022 African Civic Engagement Academy Fellow.
